Retired Kennels

AKC offers a process by which parent clubs such as GSCA can request that significant kennel names be “retired” as a way of both honoring them and permanently protecting the name from future use. Permission from the kennel owner is required before the kennel name and its qualifications can be submitted to AKC for consideration. Final approval by the AKC Board is required to complete the process.

Please join us in celebrating these kennels and thanking their breeders for their lifetime devotion to our wonderful breed. Recommendations for possible kennel name retirements may be sent to the Breeders Education chair by email to BreedersEd@GiantSchnauzerClubofAmerica.com.
